Dr. G the NP is committed to clinical education and a website that every learner can use, including clinicians who rely on assistive technology.

    01Our commitment

We want every nurse, nurse practitioner, student, and clinical educator to be able to read this site, watch our teaching clips, and submit an inquiry without barriers. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

    02What we have built in

Accessibility measures currently in place on this site include:

    • An on-page accessibility toolbar with high contrast, larger cursor, link highlighting, dyslexia-friendly typeface, text spacing, line height, saturation, and animation-pause controls.
    • Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate page structure.
    • Keyboard-operable navigation, dialogs, and video controls with visible focus styles.
    • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images and decorative images marked as such.
    • Color combinations chosen to meet contrast requirements across the navy, teal, and brick palette.
    • Responsive layouts that reflow for zoom and small screens.

    03Video and session materials

Teaching preview clips are native HTML5 video with standard controls. If you need captions, a transcript, large-print handouts, or an alternative format for any clip or course material, email us and we will provide it.

04Accommodations for live and virtual events

For conferences, workshops, and staff-development sessions, we work with host organizations to support accommodations such as ASL interpretation, live captioning, accessible seating and stage access, advance copies of slides, and high-contrast or large-print handouts. Please share accommodation needs when booking so arrangements can be confirmed in advance.

    05Known limitations

Some third-party embedded content and older documents may not yet be fully accessible. We review the site regularly and address issues as they are identified.

    06Tell us about a barrier

If you encounter a page, video, or form you cannot use, email contact@drgthenp.com with the page address and a short description of the problem. We aim to respond within 2–3 business days and will provide the information you need in an alternative format while we work on a fix.

    Questions about this policy?
